Ebola Outbreak Information Video

Today (October 15, 2014) I found myself basically at Ground Zero of the Ebola situation in the United States. My delivery route is adjacent to the apartment complex where the second nurse who has contracted Ebola (Amber Vinson) lives. There were many news crews in the area and news helicopters circled overhead throughout the day. Many customers on my route were concerned, and some had questions for me concerning the mail and Ebola. Questions included “what if someone with Ebola licks a stamp and puts it in the mail” and “shouldn’t I be wearing gloves.” I really didn’t know what to say. After a little online research I found that Ebola can live on surfaces for a few hours. But no one really knows for sure it seems, and there are still many questions to be answered about Ebola. Earlier today I uploaded a video (below) to my military videos website about Ebola from the U.S. Department of Defense. The video provides good information about Ebola, including origins, symptoms, virus transmissions, treatments and more. – Tom,
