OIG Report: 21st Century Post Office

A USPS OIG report has determined the US Postal Service could increase the value of Post Office retail facilities and address community needs by evaluating and offering non-postal products and services at strategically placed retail locations with sufficient foot traffic to help ensure success. Examples of non-postal products and services include expanded government services, Internet access, and notary services. Additionally, the Postal Service should address barriers to offering non-postal products, the report found.
