A group of U.S. Senators today (August 14th, 2014) have released a letter seeking a moratorium on further U.S. Postal Service plant consolidations and closures, the continuation of 1st Class service standards and yet another year to enact postal reform legislation. But with the USPS financial crisis currently in at least its third year, and with all sides on the issue firmly entrenched in their positions, it’s doubtful that another year will help.
