The facts are simply INCREDIBLE! If the statistics
from 2000 through 2009 were not enough to cause outrage, this
new information should. The number of the HIGHEST PAID Postal
Employees have actually increased. The employees who actually
perform the work on moving the mail, maintaining the
facilities and equipment in support of moving the mail has
decreased. Everyone reading this should contact their members
of congress and give them these figures.
The USPS opens new "Contract Stations" weekly without
career postal workers, less mail security, and less training
for those employees. Maybe the savings are going
towards paying the higher salaries of the added headquarters
staff, while career employees along with the customer
suffer.
I updated the chart below to reflect from 2000 through
2010. Thanks to everyone for their feedback and once again, I
love hearing your thoughts.
