A PostalMag.com reader has sent this photo of yet another USPS LLV burning in dramatic fashion. The reader reports that while out delivering mail, the postal truck caught on fire in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Fortunately, the carrier got out safely and the mail was saved, reports the reader.
During the last decade, hundreds of USPS LLVs have burned in similar fashion. It’s almost inconceivable that thousands of the vehicles in question are still in service with the USPS. Yet, they are, and we can only hope that future incidences will also result in no injuries to the postal carrier.
