Best Place For Postal Employees to Retire

Kauai Best Place to RetireAnd the Number One place to retire for postal employees is…

… the Hawaii island of Kauai!

Known as the Garden Island, the beautiful island of Kauai features beautiful beaches, an abundance of incredible trails, amazing fresh foods and a laid-back lifestyle that is perfect for the retiring postal worker.

After a work-life filled with angry bosses and angrier dogs, Kauai is the place to go.

Life is simpler and slower on Kauai. Driving is a breeze on the island, and a lot more considerate. Instead of people cutting you off on the road, local residents will often stop and let you in to the traffic flow.

Fresh foods, including straight-from-the-farm produce and fruits, will rejuvenate the body. Fresh fish straight out of the ocean will keep you strong and healthy. It’s no wonder people in the Hawaiian islands have the longest life expectancy of any American state, at 81.3 years the last time we checked.

Kauai hiking trails and beaches provide opportunities for nature walks and relaxation. The Kapaa Bike Path, in the town of Kapaa, is a favorite place for a ride or a stroll.

If you’re looking for sunny days, the south side will be the best side for you. Golden Poipu Beach is consistently ranked as one of the top beaches in the United States. Hawaiian monk seals can often be seen sunning on this beach. Maybe you can sun here too?

If you don’t mind a little refreshing rain, perhaps Kauai’s North Shore might be the place for you. This is the place where the movie South Pacific was filmed. The focal point of the North Shore is the dramatic Hanalei Bay, one of the most peaceful and most beautiful locations in the world. The Hanalei Pier is the perfect place to end your day with a colorful sunset.

Kauai isn’t cheap, but hopefully your TSP account did well. If it did, there’s really no better place to retire than the island of Kauai.
