Today when I was out and about I saw this letter carrier and it reminded me of when I was growing up in Dearborn. Our mailman’s name was Chuck and he pushed a cart like this up and down Mead Street, delivering letters. Sometimes we would give him a cold glass of ice water if it was really hot out. He would drink it down and then be on his way. My favorite mailbox was one block over and looked a lot like the one in the second photo. Funny how seeing something like this takes you back.
