9.22.2024 – APWU reports: “It was the decision of the National Negotiating Committee (NNC) to “stop the clock” and continue bargaining. We have secured an agreement from management that the negotiators will meet at least once a week going forward. It is also the position of the NNC that we will reevaluate progress on a regular basis and invoke mediation if further negotiations are not productive.” – Comments
Amid USPS scrutiny, postmaster general says agency is prepared for election mail
9.17.2024 – Federal News Network reports: “State election officials, members of Congress and former President Donald Trump are raising concerns about the Postal Service’s ability to deliver mail-in ballots on time in November. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy however, is pushing back, telling state election officials USPS is well-equipped to handle mail-in ballots this election season.
